Terms of Service
Last updated: June 3, 2026
These Terms govern your use of the Ralphy app and getralphy.app (the "Service"). By using Ralphy, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
1. The Service
Ralphy is a personal budgeting tool that helps you track spending and plan a monthly budget. Ralphy is not a bank, lender, broker, or financial, tax, or investment advisor, and nothing in the app is financial advice. Budgets, balances, and projections are informational estimates — always rely on your financial institution for authoritative balances and transactions.
2. Your account
You sign in with Apple and are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your device secure. You must be at least 13 years old (and old enough to form a binding contract where you live) to use Ralphy.
3. Bank connections
If you choose to connect a bank, you authorize Ralphy and our provider Plaid to access your account information to provide the Service, subject to Plaid's terms and privacy policy. You can disconnect a bank at any time in the app.
4. Membership & billing
Ralphy is free for users whose confirmed annual income is under our threshold (currently $50,000); this free tier is funded by paying members. Everyone else can subscribe to a Ralphy Membership ($4.99/month or $39.99/year), which unlocks additional features and helps keep Ralphy free for people who can't afford it. Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID and renew automatically until cancelled; any free trial converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled at least 24 hours before it ends. You can manage or cancel a subscription anytime in your Apple ID subscription settings — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law or Apple's policies, payments are non-refundable; refunds are handled by Apple. Prices may change with notice for future billing periods.
5. Acceptable use
Don't misuse the Service: no attempting to breach security, access other users' data, reverse-engineer or disrupt the app, or use it for unlawful purposes.
6. Your content
The budgets, categories, and notes you create are yours. You grant us the limited permission needed to store and sync them to provide the Service. We don't claim ownership of your data and don't sell it.
7. Availability & changes
We may update, change, or discontinue features over time. We aim for reliability but the Service is provided on an "as available" basis.
8. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any data shown is complete or accurate.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ralphy and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from financial decisions you make using the Service.
10. Termination
You can stop using Ralphy and delete your account and data at any time from Settings → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are violated.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [YOUR STATE — fill in before publishing], United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms; we'll post the new version here and update the date above. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
